A couple of weekends ago my family and I were having lunch at Smith's Restaurant here in Bolivar, MO. We were using a voucher from Restaurant.com I had some credit on that website so we were able to purchase a $25 gift certificate for free. The fine print stated that our total bill must come to at least $35.00. We are pretty frugal when we eat out. Usually the kids share one or two meals, depending on the size, and Clayton and I try to order fairly inexpensive entrees.
This time, however, we were splurging! We had to get the total meal to $35! Each kid ordered there own meal and I ordered an amazing pork tenderloin sandwich. Clayton's meal was more than enough to make up the rest! We enjoyed our lunch and when we went to pay the bill, someone had already paid it! So here we were trying to spend a bunch of money and someone picked up the bill!
We were cracking up thinking about who could have paid for us. Was it someone who felt sorry for us wrestling 3 kids and getting ready to have a 4th? Was it someone we knew? We'll probably never know but we are so thankful for that person(s). It was a great opportunity to teach our kids about doing for others!
We tried to pass it on and were hopefully successful in making someone else's day.
We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to whoever was kind enough to pay for our lunch!!!
