What's for Breakfast?

Disclaimer: This is not an actual picture of our smoothies. The smoothies we mad were drank out of plastic Bolivar Liberator cups. :)

Today we had smoothies! The kids and I love making and eating them! I usually just use whatever fruit we have in the house. Today we had a PB&J Smoothie.

PB&J Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients-frozen strawberries, peanut butter, milk, protein powder, plain yogurt, small amount of honey

Basically I just throw the desired amount of each in a blender and blend it up. If it is too runny I add more frozen strawberries. If it is too thick I add more milk. Pretty simple, huh?

What's For Dinner?

Tonight we are trying a healthier version of Meatloaf. We are also having mashed potatoes and salad. The meatloaf smells amazing! Here's the recipe:

Meatloaf
1 diced red onion
2 lbs of ground beef
1 cup almond meal
2 eggs
1 can tomato paste
1 tbsp crushed garlic
1/2 tbsp sea salt
2 tbsp dried basil
cracked black pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients by hand in a large mixing bowl. Place meat mixture into a large glass baking pan and form into a loaf.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until meat is no longer pink in the middle.

I'll let you know how it goes!
